The cell automatically performs the operations of assembly, inspection, marking, and unloading into dedicated boxes of functional subgroups for the automotive gearbox group, managing consistently with the production batch and controlling the different combinations of components used.
The application uses various automation and control technologies specifically integrated and aimed at achieving functional performance and cycle time, as well as sizing in a limited available area.
Production batches of each component are recognized by barcode reader.
Components are automatically fed, checked for distinctive dimensions (internal diameters, external diameters, lengths, color), and loaded onto high-precision dedicated fixtures positioned on a rotating ring.
The adoption of the rotating ring ensures high performance in terms of precision and speed and optimal distribution of workstations.
The workstations on the table handle the insertion of a steel bushing, the insertion of a plastic component into the bushing, the insertion of a plastic sleeve and the flanging of the bushing to complete the assembly, the testing of the sleeve’s rotation, the marking of good parts, and their unloading into boxes.
NOK components are unloaded separately at each station. Watch the video
