Automatic feeding and assembly line for co-molded parts

The application integrates into the automatic cycle with an injection molding press equipped with a Cartesian manipulator and automatically performs the operations of feeding, assembly, inspection, marking, and unloading of functional subgroups.

During the feeding phase at the press entrance, an anthropomorphic robot provides the manipulator with steel components to be inserted into the mold at the appropriate temperature.

Upon exiting the mold, the line receives the bi-component molded products from the manipulator, placed in dedicated fixture deposits.

The robot transfers the parts to a rotating table; plastic safety rings and screws are inserted through automatic feeding and controlled insertion.

In the various workstations, the quality of the product molding is checked (presence of plastic fins), the parts are laser marked, identified with Datamatrix reading, and unloaded onto a motorized conveyor.

Rejected parts are unloaded separately at the end of the work cycle.
